Finger painting with Leavanny (with short story)
I don’t like how picture and story turned out because I am not creatively talented, didn’t have much time time to spend on it and have been feeling crap.
The following story is set in the new perspective universe created by KenitohMenara where pokémon revolted and decided to treat most humans like babies.
Clayton wanted to be a ground type specialist when he grew up like a gym leader or a member of the elite four. When he set out on his journey he chose to use only ground types. So, for his first gym he thought Castelia City’s bug gym would be a nice easy start given that ground is basically rock and bugs are weak to rocks. Unfortunately for him Burgh uses two grass types, both of which could 1 hit knock out (1HKO) his young pokémon.
Seeing as brute force wasn’t working, he decided to teach attract to his pokémon which drastically improved his performance getting him to occasionally face leavanny. However, the leavanny would keep out speeding his drilbur Dell and 1HKO with razor leaf.
This did not deter Clayton as his will was as strong as the ground, so he kept trying even when money started to become a problem. After so many loses Burgh offered Clayton a job which would earn back lost money and pay for living away from home all he had to was entertain the gym’s pokémon.
This seemed easy enough, so Clayton quickly agreed but quickly found out why nobody else wanted to do this. The leavanny who Burgh said was called Luke wanted him to model baby clothes and the other pokémon wanted him to do babyish games with them. One day he might end up being dressed in a sewaddle footed romper playing patty cake in Luke’s lap. Another day he might be dressed in just a shirt, a diaper and a sleeved bib tasked with finger painting.
This became a routine for them, Clayton would go to the gym, use the same strategy and lose. After losing he would be taken to a side room by Luke to “model” and play with Burgh’s pokémon.
One day Luke heard of a pokémon revolution was going to happen in few days. He decide that not only was he going to adopt Clayton (who he gotten attached to) but also let him win the next fight.
He would feel horrible if Clayton never won a single badge before the gym shut down. He also wanted Clayton to have time to relax and recover before the revolution started.
After winning Burgh said, “Well done Clayton, it may have taken you more tries than most. But you proved that with determination and the help of your pokemon you can overcome any challenge.”
Luke then gestured to Burgh for the badge and went over to Clayton saying. “Here is your effort badge little one, you earned it for trying so many times. You really mastered the move Attract by being so cute. Now go off and play, I will come to adopt and protect you when the revolution starts.”
Clayton unaware of his fake victory or Luke’s comment felt immense pride, cheered, hugged Dell, thanked Burgh for the badge and went off to celebrate with his pokémon.
A few weeks after the revolution, Clayton is playing in the side room again. His new dad has claimed the gym and converted it into a successful children’s clothes store specializing in clothes that make humans look like baby pokémon.

I finally beat Burgh in black 2 ground type only!
The rules of the run was basically hard core nuzlock (catch first pokemon seen, no healing in battle, no over levelling, etc). This was up till the bug gym when I added a mercy rule for allowing reloading from failures against important NPCs. This made the hardcore nuzlock run a failure but I am interested in doing a ground nuzlock like play through anyway.

when I saw clayton, my first thought was that he resembled cody from digimon adventure 02. while the resemblance is probably unintentional, cody did have an armadillomon for a partner (which has some similarities to ground types like sandshrew), and one of armadillomon's evolutions in the show is digmon (basically a bug with several drills coming out of its body, fitting both the typing of clayton's team, and that of his new dad)
