Furayob!
The portal crackled with energy, and those watching it cowered in fear. This was not the way it was supposed to go. They had opened the portal to invade the world of the light and the living - how could one cross through to invade them? The magic of the portal lashed out and struck the ground before them, and they hissed and backed away. Black wings fluttered and the dark ravens took flight to shelter themselves from what was coming.
The hero stepped through. He glared at them, no fear in his eyes; quite the opposite, he smiled as though he had prepared for this his entire life. Blades in hand and horn at his side, he was ready to save his world.
