Dwaal: Local Value HW Project
My first time drawing utilizing the retractive (otherwise known as subtractive) technique and using charcoal at a level higher than rudimentary, I don't think this piece came out bad at all - I had fun creating it and that's what matters, right? We'll see what my teacher and peers have to say during class Saturday; we've moved on from the Perspective section to focusing on Value instead. This was definitely different than I'm used to, focusing on patterns and the abstract (I even used fixative to help the materials set), yet made for a great mental exercise. Feedback would be much appreciated~
18 x 24 drawing paper, willow and compressed charcoals, chamois cloth, tortillon.
My commissions are always OPEN with prices under my profile tab, notes are open for free quotes. Don't forget to check out my Patreon (link in bio) as well for EXCLUSIVE monthly perks (new post made just today!), along with the YCHs and other adoptables available for sale in my gallery! Every shiny donation gets a sketch as well, anything helps (this is my only income and the help would be appreciated)~ <3
