I never gave my character a reference sheet, i've had a broad idea of who/what Taru was since 2017. In 2017 I was sketching cute animal mixes and I drew Taru's first ever "idea" on to digital.
He's come a LONG way from where he was, having a roo nose, to now having a cat nose. His claws were a darker brown at one point, while his spots on his muzzle were also brown.
Though most of the other things remained the same, he's been close and dear to my heart ever since. I've never connected with a character as much as I do him.
He's small and full of expression whenever I draw him. I never get bored of drawing him.
