He's coming along!
Can't work on him again until the semester ends for the summer, but he should only take a few days more to finish once I can go back home ^^
For anyone who doesn't know, this is only my second suit head! So please don't be too harsh with the criticism, haha

Oooh you should definitely give it a try! They're really fun to make!
I used faux fur! I bought this fur here from Big Z Fabrics, but Howl Fabric is also a really good source, or FursuitSupplies.com, if they happen to have what you need in stock. I've heard to be wary of fur on Amazon or Fabrics.com or a comparable site; they can have quality issues.
I probably spent about $350-400 total on this head? But I have enough fur and foam left over to make a bunch more stuff! Albie here is gonna get handpaws, feetpaws, and a tail as well as his head :) And I'll have more after that left over to be used on later heads!
In terms of other tips:
- Definitely watch tutorials!! There are so many amazing resources available these days. I recommend SkyHighStudios (except for the tail tutorial where she uses marbles and duct tape), Freckled Cat Creations, and a bunch more!
-If you don't know how to sew, you'll honestly be fine. Sewing is a skill that takes practice, but if you take your time and get in a little bit of practice before starting, you'll mostly be fine! I recommend learning at least a backstitch and a ladder stitch; I use those two the most.
-solar screen is, so far, my favorite material for eye mesh! Some folks sell it on Etsy as actual fursuit eye mesh, but it's almost always just solar screen. You can get it way cheaper at a Home Depot, but only in colossal amounts, so, I guess pick your poison there?
-Eye blanks are really hard for me to make :') Use plastic if you want to make them yourself, not foam, but I ordered these off a user on etsy. there's a lot of options on esty, and they'll be 3D printed and super sturdy, so I recommend those if you're not quite sure how to approach them yourself, like I was
Hopefully some of that is helpful ^^' I'm not an expert by any means, but that's what I've learned and found helpful so far :)
