Hello everyone, Welcome back to Hensley draws some more art. Today we have Rain as a Mandrake. I still want to continue to push the Pikmin inspirations further away, but make sure I keep them. Like not make it too obvious, but you can still see it. Hence why I want the main cast of Mandrakes to still be the colors of Red, Yellow and Blue. I originally gave Rain some ears but decided to remove them.
Do a bit more of an original and action-like pose instead of doing half bodies all the time. Show how weird her body can bend with a lack of bones, and instead have some plant-like cells that make up her structure. You also may have seen this character as a Kobold as well, and I think I'll probably have them swap between the two forms I draw them as. Mandrakes really don't need armor, so that's why I decided to give them the bear minimum. At one point? I didn't draw these characters with anything on, and simply didn't add in any bits or show any detail. Same with this, they don't have any features really and... I feel like the character doesn't need pants. Let's be real.
However, as I push it more and more away, the less crazy my ideas sound. A Pikmin holding a gun is ridiculous and something I've joked about with my friends many of times. Now? It's just sort of natural to me to add in a weapon like that to a character who is simply Pikmin-Inspired.
I want to try to do more unique poses down the line, actually expand out my characters instead of drawing the same thing over and over again. So, hopefully, there will be more unique things down the road. I hope you all have a good day everyone!
Disclaimer and Copyright: These characters involved, and the artwork belongs to me. The Skin to Scales universe also belongs to me there... You get the drill.
Other Disclaimer: You are allowed to share my artwork as long as I am credited, but do not upload it anywhere else, edit it and or mark it as your own if that wasn't common sense.
