She hasn't been her chipper self at work since the fight. The job gets done but there’s no enthusiasm. On top of that she’s taken as much overtime as possible to avoid being at home. Liana’s head starts to fill with all the old phone calls and messages from those she scorned. The times she was confronted in the same way and thought nothing of it while she was completely in the wrong.

Liana felt that Daryl wouldn’t do the same to her, but the speculation drove her. She was terrified of being treated the same way as she treated other's after she finally found someone she wanted to be with this much.

Reshelving book after book Liana began to notice a trend in titles that crossed her on a couple days. Nearly everyone on the subject of self help and relationship troubles, as if the library itself were trying to give her a hint.

Tonight she would try to extend an olive branch. Daryl was just as stubborn as her, one of them needs to take the lead.
