Resolution
Like usual Daryl is up at the crack of dawn and out to prep for the next job. He’s good with his hands, always has been. A simple drywall and plaster project occupies him but not enough to completely drown out the thoughts. The fight was stupid. He was simply doing what Liana suggested and procuring some better clients. He had the skills for some demanding jobs. Most of these came with client meetings beforehand, usually over lunch.
Her doubts annoyed him and they’ve led to more than a few arguments like this. However the distance between them now was more unsettling. After a few days the apartment feels like a space for two distant roommates as they avoid one another. He’s going to have to extend the olive branch this time.
