OK, I swear this is not just a horrible pun - this is actually inspired by a verse from a 19th century Irish folk song, The Rocky Road to Dublin - (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p3nXku80y2Y). The song is about an Irish immigrant looking for work who finds the only space on a ship available for him is in the hold with the pigs -
From there I got away, my spirits never falling
Landed on the quay, just as the ship was sailing
Captain at me roared, said that no room had he
When I jumped aboard, a cabin found for Paddy
Down among the pigs, played some hearty rigs
Danced some hearty jigs, the water round me bubbling
When off Holyhead, I wished myself was dead
Or better far instead on the rocky road to Dublin 1, 2, 3, 4, 5
Actually the 'jigs' and 'rigs' refer to the hero's bumpy ride and seasickness, but I liked the image of actually playing music FOR the pigs.
I realize of course that the choice of species may seem offensive to some - I know for a fact a lot of racist 19th century cartoons loved to draw Irish people as pigs (case in point, https://punch.photoshelter.com/imag.....00odXm7oWcJ6o) but I think it's important nowadays for us to acknowledge that, at some point, our ancestors were lowdown, dirty, poor and downtrodden, and not be ashamed of it. Besides, we know now that pigs are WAY smarter, and cleaner than most give them credit for. I think they're perfectly noble.

I always look forward to your St. Patrick's Day drawings because that happens to be my birthday! This is fantastic work, I love how "nice and bristly" you draw pigs as ealadubh put it.
