Poor guy, I'm sure he gets teased by his wife that his name is the same as his gender, haha.
So these three panels are actually significant. notice that he isn't pounding metal? Buck now is a stag that makes tools out of antlers. Fitting, right? this is a new change I've been wanting to show for a while now.
Antlers are extremely sought after, as you can make weapons, tools and such out of them. and luckily enough, at the end of each year there's always a full supply when the stags shed their antlers.
And so Buck has fully embraced the potential of his antlers and makes his living off them.
