Getting my setup for this sequence I spent a lot of time looking at royal portraits to get the right feel. Especially portraits of King George IV - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Georg.....Koninkrijk.jpg - probably the best real-life example of a puffed-up, pompous royal, even wore a corset for a while.
They say he made things like high collars and full-length trousers popular, all because they hid his actual weight better. Seemed like a good model to emulate here.
