Diego has always been a shy, meek giant of a man. So much that his love life was almost non-existent due to him being too shy to talk to guys he was interested in or to those interested who approached him. His quiet demeanor always caused those expecting a big, brash, tattooed dominant bear of a man to quickly leave. They always were only looking skin deep.
Until Arden marched up to him and just sat down next to him. Struck up a conversation not about the muscles about ready to split his shirt, but about the band on the shirt itself. Listened silently to DJ fanboy for half an hour about music theory, a soft smile on his face. And when DJ realized in his passionate gushing that he'd not even gotten introductions out of the way, didn't bat an eye, but rather cheerfully introduced himself and started a simple conversation, clearly not just trying to get into DJ's pants. As the night progressed, it became clear that to Arden, DJ wasn't a slab of meat to be conquered or to have conquer him, but a man with likes, dislikes, thoughts and feelings. That alone got DJ interested in return, but when Arden let DJ just start them at getting to know each other and progressing as a typical relationship should, rather than starting from the physical, DJ was pretty sure this was the man for him.
As time passed, they grew closer, became a couple, and got the all-clear from DJ's quite-protective friends. And now the two of them spend their time together, cuddling, snuggling, and being otherwise tooth-rottingly sweet.

Oh yeah, and Arden enjoys music too, if it wasn't clear. He's a music fan with a good set of pipes.
