After days of waiting, and months after creation, I got a physical design for one of my new-ish characters, and his name is Tsuyoi (his real name was lost to time as he doesn't want to remember it, so now he has a nickname). He's from the late 1500's Japan and formally a soldier of the Imagawa clan, as shown on his gauntlet, which was destroyed, though he left to flee from the battle that lead to it's destruction. Now he's a wandering mercenary who does oddjobs to make ends meet and to be able to feed himself, though despite being free to do whatever, he is still weighed down by his comrades spirits haunting him time to time, reminding him how he didn't lay his final breath in battle. Though despite this, he would fight no matter what, determined to live, even if it means he is haunted for the rest of his life.

Many years later in the early 1580's, he would eventually find hope in the form of an Onmyōji Cinderace named Nozumo Usagi, whom he finds one day being attacked by bandits, despite his best efforts, they needed help, so Tsuyoi jumps into action and fended them off, he had plenty of practice with his spear and became great with his polearm that he's used all this time. After they were saved, they explained that they left their temple a couple years before because their master who had trained them since he was little had become a Tengu after falling from grace and had to flee, and put their teachings into use to heal people spiritually with his powers, which he soon realized that Tsuyoi needed desperately, so with his magic, he was able to help heal his new saviors mind and send the restless spirits back to the afterlife after calming them.

They soon became friends afterwards and would work together to do both their jobs, one to defend, one to heal, working in sync, Nozumo was even given the nickname "Kakyu" as a more endearing thing since they were good friends. They eventually find another temple in the mountains that let them in as a place to call home, which they agree to be in, though months afterwards, the lead monks peeked into the future to see what would happen and saw that their temple would be destroyed by Nobunaga's forces, so they decided to task the two to take all the women and children that were there to flee from the temple by a special portal that would take them far from them to a trusted place, while the monks would fight the marching forces to the end. Though they insisted to stay until they were last to ensure that everyone thats to escape would make it out.

Though while they waited, the portal would slowly become unstable as the night goes on, and when they went through, the portal started to act differently, with Tsuyoi and Kakyu not ending up in the trusted place they were looking forward to, rather they were in a new building that looked far different than the temple, it was a building that looked alot more barren, it looked somewhat like the old temple, but it was more refurbished and there were people that looked much different than the peasants they've seen giving them strange look as they walked out and went to find out what was going on. They were passed by strange metallic things on the road, like a horse that one rides, but faster and more loud, and another with a much larger, though seemingly more slow moving metal cart with people inside giving them more strange looks, and some even holding what they didn't know were cameras taking photos of them.

They eventually found a building called the L'hotel de Hiei”, they didn't know what most of that means, though there was a translation below to Japanese which they eventually got down, even with some trouble reading it since the language seemed to even changed somewhat. Inside was a hotel, even though they've never heard of one, and behind a desk was a worker who could speak the language, even with a somewhat wide gap between older and more modern Japanese, they found out that they had leapt about 400 years into the future to the year 2018, and the old temple had been burned down with none of the monks surviving, though that the others that lived there made it out and found a much more secure spot to live.

They get a room to discuss what had happened and decide what to do, which they decided that they'd learn the changes to the language and what had changed over the years, which expanded their horizons over the time they'd learn about what had happen, when 2021 rolled around, they decided to visit America to see what it was like since they heard it was a sort of hotspot for the world, and was a new nation created almost 200 years after they had left the past, and now they have new jobs with the new skills they learned in the future, living happier lives than before, though perhaps there's more revelations to come.
