Artist Seer Connection, Tool + Process of Creation
Hello all, today I wanted to share a bit more emphasis regarding my Paleolithic observation post from earlier - specifically with art being tied to magic. While reading the book "Getting It: A Guide to Understanding and Appreciating Art" (which I had borrowed from my college library) I was excited to find this top passage confirming that we artists are seers. Ironically, that same day I was completing my Beginning Drawing class reading (an essay titled "Drawing" by John Berger) I read a great passage - another artist confirming the magical connection of creation, how utilizing our tools (my main reason why I absolutely adore traditional / studio illustration so much) can be a portal to a new world. I wanted to share this with you all, as it's highly relevant to my craft and was thought provoking to read this week.
