So I been pretty excited about "How to train your dragon" coming out on dvd Oct. 15th. SO for the past week everyday it seemd like I spent the first hour of my day doodling Toothless. He is so cute, possibly the cutest dragon ever. Alot of inspiration came from

Aaaah Toothless. You will never cease to warm my heart, will you? ... Must be the ears. Anways, Narse, you are an incredible artist. Amazing details as always. Great work! Can't wait to get my greedy paws on one of 'em DVD's.

Yeah I've been pretty excited about that coming out too. Im kinda like D: Why is Iron Man 2 and everything else coming out so quickly yet I've been having to wait for this movie to come out for so long, even though it hasn't been to terribly long.
Anyway, I love the adorable looks that ya put on Toothless' face. x3 Keep on Senor Narse, cause you are a friggin fantastic artist, and we'll never lose my watch... unless you beat me and take my money in a New York alley... I may unwatch you if you do that.

The design of toothless was quite astoundingly animated.. Everything contributed to the dragons emotions, and it was perfectly portrayed entirely in bodylanguage, half the time with little to no sound at all which was fantastic.
I loved that movie so much when I saw it, can't wait to see it again on dvd, HD or whatever I can get my hands on.
I share your views on Lando, the 'dangerous kill on sight' pic had been my wallpaper for quite some time. Fantastic works.

Most importantly, you've managed to capture the spirit and essence of that character very well! These shots of "Toothless" are even better than the last one (the more adult version, he he). Why? Well, in the last version you've tried to project your typical style on a character you didn't know that well (at the time). It was more or less a "Narse-dragon-type-Toothless-version" in the last time. But right now, you've captured more of the sould and appearance of that character - even with ONLY his head (and part of the chest).
Most of all, you've captured his eyes... these cute eyes, which are bursting with innocence AND a loooot or curiousity. ^^ Yeah, that's what I love most about him: the eyes.

I cant wait to get it either. All the dragons in the movie had such neat little designs. The big one at the end had a cool design too with the six eyes going on though looked somewhat misplaced among all the others..though that may very well have been the point. For some reason nobody seems to ever draw him though.

My latest submission for sure..... always frustrated at how good his coloring was, so I took more time with mine this time.
Curious if you could make comments on it. I know there were some things I forgot in haste. scales one the jaw-bone-located-sonar-thingies (god, what do you call them anyway? o.o) on toothless for example.. but critique would be nice, from a couple of good artists.
