Sometimes family is the people you're born with. Sometimes they're the people you choose. Other times they're the ones who see a guy completely overworking themselves and with all affection and love hold them accountable for their health.
Penelope became the latter, and is every level of compassionate and annoying any alpoc oathsister is.
A few pages ago I had decided after a little throwaway line from Penelope that humans and Alpoc should be religious. And not exactly being interested in making up a religion for humanity I picked one I know very well, having grown up with it. So there we go, set dressing!
