The inhabitants of the sea slug city have inherited psi-tech that needs to be maintained and reproduced. Tactile telepaths like Eleeta are usually the ones who take care of it all. The shrimpy leaf-gilled sea slug is actually adept at repairing, manipulating, and reproducing a lot of psionic devices.
