oh wow, this is fantastic. you did a wonderfull job of color finding here. i always admire people who can create digital work that feels like a traditional painting. the little areas of texture that look like a bad pull from a print are realy a nice touch. so what is this artrage thing? awesome stuff. keep up the good work oce.

I like the content, but the composition could use a little work. The bright coloring of the light draws the eye away from the foreground to the background. Further, the dog's colors are too similar to the remainder of the background, making him sink further into the "landscape" rather than jumping out at you.

Given all that, the colors are absolutely vibrant. If you work on the placement and composition a bit, you could really make this (or a following piece) a really beautiful work of art.

Excellent use of color. My only critique is that the main character gets a little lost in the bright yellow background area. Even so, very dynamic painting.

At first glance, the hyena's arm closest to the viewer seems strangely thing at the beginning and then gets huge. So, there's not enough definition of the lower part of his upper arm.

I just love this art style, especially since blue accumulates massive win simply for being blue.

The use of contrasting yet equally cool (as in temperature) colors makes for a very visually pleasing work of art.

Only part I don't like is the gouge of yellow into the hyena's face.

I'm gonna take a jump here, based on your last journal entry.

Watch your negative space, chroma and values. I dig the big shapes when I squint, but the saturation of the colors (especially around the left-hand figure) are so intense and so close in value it becomes confusing.

I really like some of those color choices. Right now they're a bunch of wild horses. I'm not saying you shouldn't use bright color: one of the things I think of when I think of your art is how well you use color. This piece has a lot of fun stuff to it, and some stuff that makes me want to see it taken further. But ya gotta get temperature, chroma and value working for you, otherwise it's all for naught.

I'm going to agree with Berby here (and by the way, crit is always welcome back at me). I really like the big splashes of color, the freedom and effortlessness of this painting. It's really bold and brave. The big problem I have is that yellow area. It wants to come forward and seems to be almost the rearmost of the painting. And while it draws the eye to the hyena's face, it doesn't let you focus on it. It distracts away from it. More like this though, please. It's really wonderfulyl loose and satisfying!
