Little known fact, but Halo doesn't actually have a voicebox! This makes communication for a rather intelligent fellow difficult, as most don't really understand the iterations of RrrR, gRrOWl, and so on that he'd normally be able to make. So, thanks to a gift from his friend Aokuang several years back (Who was exasperated with the fact that he couldn't communicate easily with the felkin) Halo has his horn ring, a multi-functional magical artifact. The primary purpose? Giving Haloren a "one-way" telepathy of sorts, letting him broadcast his thoughts, words, etc. directly to (an)other individual(s). Handy, isn't it?
