Heh - it was really just a bit of play-acting, like a talent show. Intrepid, 'Pasha, Jack and the rest were performing the skit for fun. After it was over, Watchful defrosted 'Trep with a hair-dryer -- that page was drawn by Dirk Martine (who regrettably does not appear to be a member of FA).
But the joke in the final panel was intended to be that Jack was indeed running away from 'Pasha.
