Reminds me of a scene from Threshold, a short lived TV series about an alien invasion. Brent Spiner's character is told they can get him anything he wants, so he asks for 3 random items, a number 3 pencil, a harmonica, and some baby carrots. Later on in the episode someone comes by with a small case containing exactly those items.
