digital.
Not the old The Mamas &The Papa's original, but this quick and sloppy phonetic cover by Japanese punk band Hi-STANDARD who sound like they have no idea what they're saying.
I imagine that regardless of whatever the band is actually playing, Warren hears it this way.

i've really been adoring this series invovling these characters. This is awesome dude.
What i'm really liking the colors you do for this. It really gives the whole series a unified feeling. The fact that you keep them involved in backgrounds ( though this is common in most of your work) really helps flesh them out as people rather than just neat character designs. I love the personality in all of your work. The series and this picture especially proves my point :3

i use pairing a lot, almost every individual element is paired with something similar, this activates the space between these connections as the viewer's eye is aware of both things together at the same time. The two windows, two lines of type, two figural groups (left and right) and even pairs within pairs (Miah and Gerik), the two flares of her scarf. the clump of feet and her sole extended foot. Warren's two shoes. Gerik's two prominent tail feathers. His two spurs. The double humps of snow, and the near/far snow banks make a double swelling negative shape between them. Gerik's shed feathers are in pairs and then pairs of pairs.
Working in double tend to echo and vibrate around the periphery, making interconnections that hold the image together. If you have an image full of singular, unrelated elements, it will look choatic, which is fine if that's what you want. I try to pair up large and small scale shapes for cohesion.

Poor Miah, one of the obvious disadvantages to being a Sphinx is evident here. Also, Gerick has that "coolest motherf*cker on the planet" vibe going on, and comb piercing=win. And I love Warren in this pic so much, I can just imagine asking him anything and he'd respond right now with "I like tuttles!" XD
OMFG!! Japanese thrash!!! Sorry, it's just....LAUGH!!!!
Anyway...Great widescreen effect, just like a still from a movie. Snow effect is spot-on, too. And Warren!!! SILLY DOGGIE!! Hee heee, he's bouncing around, catching snowflakes on his tongue while the other two are like "........ftt...yeah, whatev...it's fuckin' cold..."
This has a lot of feeling in it! And it's fun!
