now this...uh. this one was the passion project.

this was where i started really experimenting with what krita can do as a program. i was agonizing over how to get that middle stage just right for a good while, and played with a lot of brush effects to get something like what i wanted. i wanted to do some sort of reality shift deal, and discovered a pixelize effect that seemed perfect for a video-gamey transition...

and then it got to doing dialogue and speech bubbles, and...i kind of went ham. when i'm feeling less horny i look at it and feel like i went overboard, but...i dunno, mr. ead just does something for me in a way that other characters don't. there's so many elements to him that appeal to me. he's got a sort of cheerful, slightly off kilter personality, with some implied shady origins. there's the robotic element going on with him, with a possible drone factor since he mentions in his GX interviews that his model has entered mass production. there's even an evil version seen in zoda's GX ending which...i might want to get something of, or possibly create an alt version of this image to play with. he just hits a lot of buttons for me, and i think about being him like...kind of a lot. and he's just meant to be a silly mario reference in an f-zero game.

also: changing fonts to represent a change of voice is like. way hornier than i thought it would be. got a hard on just fucking around with font files. i have brain worms
