After having suffered a knockdown at the end of the last round, Gritt went into the next round wanting to knock Kaye down hard. He moved in with an obvious offensive that Kaye was able to see it clearly as he countered the first few heavy swings. He still focused on trying to completely blind Gritt with punches directed at his still open eye. He eventually succeeds, but Gritt shows no signs of stopping as his attacks grow wilder.

With exhaustion finally catching up to Kaye he was forced to deal with the impending assault. His arms wear out as his guard drops and he takes a heavy hook that sends him stumbling back to the corner. Kaye is beaten ragged as Gritt’s desperate combinations leave him equally blinded. Kaye manages to endure the attack as Gritt finally starts to tire.

The hare manages to sneak in a few punches of his own on Gritt before collapsing onto his shoulders in a mess. The two hold onto each other as they whisper in the other’s ear.

Gritt: “What’s is with your endurance? This should be over.”

Kaye: “You have to punch a bit harder than that…”

They toss a few weak blows before the bell rings and they drag themselves back to their respective corners.
