The bell rings for the second round with the results of the first one still fresh in Gritt’s mind. He wanted to pay Kaye back and hard. Wasting no time, he mounts an immediate assault on Kaye. Gritt presses Kaye towards the ropes with a barrage of jabs, hooks and straights. Kaye blocks and parries most of the blows while a few jabs connect and keep him pinned back.

Refusing to be put on the back foot, Kaye counters with a vicious elbow. It smacks Gritt right on the nose sending him staggering back and drawing the first drops of blood in the fight. Kaye quickly moves off the ropes to turn the tables on the other hare. Before Gritt is punished even harder, he comes back to his senses and drives his right fist into Kaye’s jaw. This blow doesn’t drop the hare as he immediately leaps into a slugfest with Gritt.

The two men’s bodies are sent blowing and flailing around from the attacks, as the two go wild with an adrenaline rush. In the midst of this clash, Gritt spots an opening and hits Kaye with a heavy punch to the ribs. Kaye stops cold from the shock of pain, yet before he can respond Gritt delivers a powerful kick to the same area. Kaye reels in pain spewing spit and grunting loudly.

Gritt takes advantage as he clobbers Kaye’s face with rapid jabs. Before he can fall, Kaye latches on to Gritt in a desperate clinch. They spend the last few seconds trying to regain their spent stamina breathing heavily. The two hares head back to their corners with Gritt smiling from the results and Kaye noticeably more bruised than before.
