In the distant future, animals have taken over as the dominant species and have rebuilt civilization after humanity's tampering with a mysterious alien substance called Spectra. Follow the story of Silas Archer, a young jackal sent to live with his aunt in the city of Lunar VII for seven months in an attempt to start a new chapter in his life. If the conversation between Patricia and Sophia was about wheather the former was alright with the latter taking Silas to be a guinea pig for a potential Mortius Strain vaccine then, I'm sorry, but it really seems to me like betrayal of Patricia's character. Patrica up to this point has been portayed as being patient and kind to Silas as she knows he hates having decisions forced on him without his consent, and has been slowly but surely giving him more freedom to do what he wants, within reason of course, in order to help him have some agancy and feel like his own man, or faunite in this case. So it seems really out of character for her to be okay with having Silas be sent to a doctor, something she knows that he hates, without even at least making sure to tell Sophia to make sure HE's okay with it, especially when it's regarding something that might not even work (which, spoiler alert, doesn't) and specifically he doesn't have to do it, at least from her perspective. And it's not even like she came to that conclusion through an argument with Sophia since it seems like Sophia just listed off what she wanted to do with Silas and Patrica just said "sure why not". And, no, it would not help Silas in the long run since, again, she didn't bother to know if HE gave premission. So unless she just randomly assumed that he'd say yes to something she knew he hated it would actually be pretty harmful in the long run since he had this forced on him, and the only reason it wasn't was because Sophia guilt triped him after the fact. I don't know, maybe I'm just missing something here, but it really seemed out of character for Patricia for me. Then again we don't really see what the conversation was about in the first place, so it could have just been Sophia asking Patricia if the former could teach SIlas Karate or something else harmless like that, which would still keep the latter's character in-tact for me. I'm just pointing out what it seemed like it was about to me.
Very well put my friend - that's the thing. We don't know what Sophia told Patricia. For all we know, Sophia could have just told Patricia that Silas would be doing some work at a community center or some volunteering work. Also, let's not forget the possibility that maybe Patricia wasn't aware that Silas was afraid of doctors. At any rate, if it was something that would have caused Silas harm of discomfort, she would have rejected in an instant. As for Sophia, it is clear that she guilt-tripped him - she may be fighting crime, but she's not without her flaws. Yes, she was selfish, but if you had the chance to save a loved one, wouldn't you want to take it? Even if that would mean guilt-tripping, lying or manipulating someone else? Some may decline, but there will always be others who would take said chances.
Loved your review! Will look forward to more! ^^

Well, I wasn't insinuating that Sophia intentionally guilt tripped Silas as a manipulation tactic as that was her opening up her feelings to Silas regarding her involvement with the whole thing when he snapped at her. I do wish that there was or will be a scene where Silas opens up his own issues to her regarding how he hates having other Faunites trying to force things on him, so that she could then fully undertand how she was to him throughout this chapter and the events leading up to it, as from her perspective he was just a scoundrel trying to evade responsibility, and then hopefully apologize to him, so that that part of their relationship get some closure. Point is I had no real issues with Sophia in this chapter.
But I do have to point out the Patricia DID seem to know, to an extent, that SIlas hated doctors since Sophia said that the former told the latter that Silas "wasn't fond of doctors". I guess you could say that Patricia underestimated exactly HOW much Silas hated doctors, but still felt like a bit of a contradiction to me.

Fair enough I guess. Though I have to wonder what you mean by "learn more about him (SIlas) in future chapters". Haven't we already established him as a character enough by now? What more important things do we need to know about him? Do mean more like "what will happen to him in future chapters"?
So the "straw that broke the camel's back" huh? Didn't we already kind of see that in a dream sequence in Chapter III? Then again that was, again, a dream sequence so we still don't know the exact details and it was probably unreliable anyway, as dreams tend to be. I don't think this would be necessary from a story telling perspective, but I think that it would still be nice from a characterization and/or thematic stand point. Like this could be where Silas tells Sophia/Artemis about why he was sent to Lunar VII and we see the event in a flashback. In fact I think that would be most ideal.
