CCCVIII: It's a Mice Day Out

The basement scene as originally written was very dry. Cass and Noah continued talking about their respective transformations as she changed. I figured after 15 pages of dialogue, the chapter needed some proper action. I brought the mice back into the picture to give them something to do while riding out Cass’ changes and bring the energy levels of this story up a few notches.
