I picked up that trick from Seth Skorkowsky when he mention that "detect trap" won't work on them because it isn't really a trap, it is just a tube of acid.
I'm trying to figure out if the infamous sphere of annihilation counts as a "trap", currently I'm leaning towards no just like the acid tube under the reasoning it is garbage disposal for the tomb and if you shove any body parts in, that's on you.
