Chimchar's one of the only Fire Types in Sinnoh (at least until Giratina showed up), so they're treated rather well by trainers throughout the region. One might even say they're... pampered!
This has a tendency to get to their heads, so they're a tad more smug than your average pokemon, but thankfully they have the common sense to pipe down when comfronted by one of the many Sinnoh-dwelling Water Types.

I slept on Chimchar for too long. I think it's because its default facial expression isn't very cute but once it makes any other face it suddenly gets WAY cuter. And of course, most cute pokemon can be enhanced with diapers, and Chimchar is no exception.

(Possibly) Fun Fact: I was going to put Chimchar on a stage in a reference to the super contests but I forgot how exactly it looked, so I opted to just do a sparkly star background.
