“What are you doing at my barbell?” The large, brown-furred husky growled at the stranger occupying his usual lifting space. Before, he was a salmon-furred kangaroo with an average build except for the noticeable potbelly sticking out from underneath his white tank top. The kangaroo laid on top of two large piles of barbell plates, each labeled with a 45.
“Ugh, hi!” The kangaroo said nervously as he crawled off the stack. “I am just lost; I was supposed to meet my friend today for a yoga class, and I’m just waiting for her here.”
“Name?” Hund asked.
“My name’s Oakhee.” The kangaroo said.
“I meant your girl,” Hund corrected bluntly.
“Oh, her name is Ava,” Oakhee answered bashfully. “Do you know if she came through here already?”
“What does she look like?” Hund continued.
“Oh, she’s greyish fox deer with black and blue patches of fur on her arms, legs, and head,” Oakhee said.
Hund continued eying the trespasser to his spare with an unbreaking stare. His face was still plastered with a frown. “I didn’t see them.” Hund finally said and walked forwards to the rack shoving Oakhee out of the way.
Oakhee stumbled momentarily on his feet as Hund began placing weights on the barbell. “Hey, that’s not ni-“ Oakhee spoke out but then noticed the weight on the barbell Hund placed. The large pile of weights that Oakhee sat on previously balanced on either end of the thick cylindrical bar Hund was shouldering. Hund looked up at Oakhee, challenging him to continue.
“What I meant was ‘that’s not ninety pounds.’” Oakhee fibbed, “That is way more weight than I thought could fit on that bar.”
Hund gave Oakhee a side-eye but said nothing, focusing instead on maintaining his form as he dipped into his squat.
“You are a strong dog. Have you been doing this for a while?” Returning to full stance, Hund racked his weights and answered.
“Yeah”
“Oh…” Oakhee slipped.
“Oh?” Hund asked with grizzly undertones.
“I meant, you look kind of like me.” Oakhee began. Hund looked over his broad, muscular body from his burly arms to his powerful deltoids and pectorals, then looked down at Oakhee for comparison. “Like you’re kind of…chubby.”
Hund grasped both sides of Oakhee’s torso and lifted him with ease. “Chubby?” Hund snarled, bringing Oakhee closer to his face. Oakhee began to sweat nervously, unsure how to explain without getting himself into further trouble.
“Well, you have a really round belly just like me. Though because you are bigger, your belly is also bigger too.” Oakhee said as his feet pressed into the thick layers of fat that padded Hund’s middle. Hund’s eyes flared, yet he didn’t act.
“I’ve had this gut for a while.” Hund began as he lowered Oakhee to the floor. A flood of relief flooded over his face. Maybe the big guy wasn’t as bad as he looked. Suddenly Oakhee felt his back slam into the side of the squat rack as something soft and pliable muffled his struggles. “You learn to live with it after a while.” With his hips thrusted into Oakhee’s direction, he said, causing his rotund furry middle to act as a press.
Hund then lunged his head forward with little fanfare, clamping the kangaroo’s head between his jaws. Despite how sharp and pointed the huskie’s fangs appeared, no scarlet mixed with Oakhee’s pinkish fur. The husky then took a step back, removing the pressure against Oakhee’s body, and flicked his head upwards. With gravity on his side, Hund opened his mouth slightly, allowing more Oakhee to slide into his throat. With a critical mass of roo in his gullet, Hund began swallowing, ingesting more and more of the unwitting transgressor into the waiting prison that always hung by Hund’s waist. As Hund gulped down more and more of the roo, Oakhee resisted as best he could, flailing his limbs in a futile attempt to break free from Hund’s grasp. However, he devoured the roo in record time and expanded his waistline by at least two feet.
“BUUUUUUAAAAAAARRRRRPPPP!” Hund belched loudly, causing the local population of the gym to stare at him. Some looked in disgust; some with pride; others with fear. All though quickly returned to their business, electing the gluttonous husky and his belly that swayed near his knees. Scrunched up in a ball, Oakhee resisted the squelching walls of Hund’s belly. Every prod and jab was his attempt to expand the space he had against the elastic fleshy walls. Layers of muscle and fat prevented Oakhee from escaping. Instead, all he did was lift Hund’s dry-fit shirt significantly to put his belly on full display for any who watched.
“I’m sorry for calling you fat! Can you let me out?” Oakhee pleaded, but Hund just laid dorsal, lifting his upper back a bit to admire the mid-workout snack.
“YoUUURP should have said that earlier instead of talking about my gut,” Hund said as he rubbed against Oakhee’s signs of resistance.
“I’m going to be late for my class!” Oakhee cried from within.
“You want a class?” Hund asked sarcastically. “How about I show you a couple of my favorite barbell exercises?” Hund said as he lifted himself to his feet and grabbed the loaded barbell from off the rack.
