The bowl adze needed a sheath, so I made one. It came out really easy and the welt didn't cause much trouble when inserting. I did this all while the leather was wet so it can take form onto the tool and then dry out.
This is very good because when it dries it becomes stiffer, unmoving almost.
I used Speedy Stitcher waxed twine for this. The benefit of synthetic thread is you can actually melt the ends together after it's tied off and just smear that molten plastic with your lighter to make a "Rivet". Makes it so it can't come undone.
