Rune was born in Solaceon Town, his mother died in delivering him, leaving him to be raised by his father. Hoping to get away from the curse that the ghosts bring from the tower, his father took him and moved to Hearthome City. From an early age, he had a fascination with spirits, hoping to speak to one, he makes the trip to the tower near Solaceon Town when he was 10, however, he was sidetracked by a Drifloon and held onto it. For this, he went missing, and eight years later, he returned, muttering about the spirits to himself and looking quite pale, after being informed that his father had passed while looking for him, he sets out on a personal journey through Sinnoh to recompose himself, and perhaps, meet with his late parents one last time.
