This is a deathclaw subspecies I came up with called the northern deathclaw btw, their range spans through New England, the upper reaches of the midwest, and a decent stretch of Canada.
The northern deathclaw are similar to their east coast counterparts but have somewhat thicker skin, and have various patches of fur along their underside. The fur is guessed to provide them with a little extra winter protection (most of this protection is within their skin), as well as give them a means of keeping their eggs from freezing over.
