Still rocking the original key here, but Emma gets her hazy-shimmer "smoke" as in the story. And it's the first appearance of Lucky, who I came up with because I couldn't just not answer the question of what happened to the lab rat, and thought she'd be a suitable cute-li'l-mascot-character for the serial. Might help if I actually put her on the cover or something.
Emma should, by nature, be wearing something less generic and more tasteful/stylish, but fashion has always defeated me. I'm really going to have to work on that when I get to the illustration phase.
