There's a time when everyone is a child that they feel like they can be anything. A firefighter. A police officer. An astronaut. And then, as we grow, these dreams slowly fade until we remember them only as a fond wish once upon a time.

That feeling is what Rygone was feeling right now as he saw fur covering his paw and his ears twitch upon his head. He was turning into an Eevee, of that there was no doubt, and that meant he would have a choice to make.

Just what would he evolve into?

Grey and brown fur vied for spaces on his body as a tail burst from his shorts. Puffy and soft, it wagged in the air despite his growing panic at seeing his body warp before his eyes.

He felt young again and although fear certainly dogged his beating heart, hope for the future crept in as well. This was so exciting!

Wobbling on unsteady paws, he smiled. All that could wait. He had a present, and a new body, to enjoy right now!

An interesting note. My Eevee forms are the only ones without a scar or differentiated eye colors out of all the eeveelutions. That's something I actually picked up later in real life when I was a kid. I think it's a nice nod to my life's progression.
