Gure Gure was the Monster of the week in Ep.55 of the Grendizer Anime & was the 59th Monster in the anime overall. It was used by General Gandal in a petty move to outshine Minister Zuril, who he was made subordinate of by order of Great King Vega to build the new Underwater Earth base & concocted a plan to destroy the Observatory with Torpedoes at the backs of the top brass.

Gure resemble a Dragon, with Gray and Dark Gray colors; sport a yellow horn in the head, two huge fangs in the mouth, a red wind. It had a blue color long neck, blue color hands and upper legs, feet and tail, and huge red fin in the back. It could unleashed energy attacks, increase its size and fired torpedoes from the stomach.

With the construction of the new Earth Underwater base been top priority, General Gandal is made subordinate of Minister Zuril by order of Great King Vega, much to his detriment, and begins to now plot behind his back. He later provokes a huge Tsunami that destroys a Coastal Industrial facility to collect more material for the Base. Not detecting neither signs of Vega action or Natural disaster on the radars, Umon sends Hikaru on Marine Spazer to investigate; she's detected by Gandal, who wants to stand up and fight, but is overruled by Zuril, who summons a Midifo fleet to distract the enemy. Gandal, playing along, agrees, and orders the secret weapon to be ready. Hikaru stumbles upon the fleet, but is assisted by Grendizer and the Spazer; taking opportunity of the distraction, launches an air balloon with a signal tracker; Zuril protest his actions, though the General begs to not worry, but the former suspects treachery.

Later the Balloon drifts up the coast with defense force Helicopters following it; Gandal orders the balloon destroy, with Helicopters along with it, and the tracker, in reality a capsules, falls to the mouth of the Shinano river releasing the Vega Beast Gure Gure, it begin to swim up river undetected. Reading the nature of the two events on the Papers, Duke believes a connection exist wants to investigate, though Umon overrules, trying to avoid a possible trap. In the meantime, Dambei and Goro are fishing up river when they are pulled by the passing monster, they see it and immediately warn the Observatory – Umon makes the connection with the recent events and orders Team Grendizer to take off and meet up with it.

Gure fires three torpedoes up river, which Hikaru and Maria follow, Double Spazer and Grendizer connect to fight the Beast, who increase double its size, blocks a Dizer kick and then whiplash Grendizer; Gure grabs the Mecha and releases an Electrical Discharge. As a last move, Duke does a high Dizer Jump with the Beast holding to it, then comes back down and crashes, freeing themselves; Duke makes his move and finishes Gure Gure with Screw Crusher Punch. Meanwhile, Hikaru and Maria see the torpedoes approaching the Observatory Damn and try to shot these, but they avoid. Both fire their projectiles at the same time, which hit their mark, saving the base by just mere feet. While the heroes congratulate for a job well done, Umon suspects, correctly, the enemy have infiltrated.

At the new construction site, Gandal is reprimanded for his stunt, which may have alerted the Center of the Infiltration, the King orders Zuril to finish the mission; Gandal, still not willing to be beaten by Zuril promises his next attack will succeed.
