Here I am. Walking side by side with a girl. I mean. I'm not complaining. But I never knew it would be this soon. Being 16. And a girl who is the same age. With you being single for the rest of your life. Sure. You'd be terrified. Having no experience what so ever.
The firework festival. The same night she wants to bring you outside to have a good time. I mean. I know she wants to see the fireworks.
Maybe she thinks I'm one of those people who don't like them. But then again. Now that I think about it. Fireworks would be less boring with someone you loved a lot standing beside you, seeing their eyes light up with the rest of the sky with a large bang, and lights scattered everywhere. It's a beautiful sight. Right? Right??
Walking outside my house. In jeans and a top which... Seems quite small... I hope she doesn't mind. Or so I should say. I hope she doesn't think I'm a perverted school guy like half the guys in my class. Wearing a short top. Which seems really embarrassing while going out with a girl you have been looking at in the distance for a long time. People would say. "Watching a girl from far away is stupid" "They'll think you're a pervert for just staring at them, even if you like them".
But still. Not listening to anyone. Really does work. Well. I'm sure she didn't mind when she knew. That I've been watching her in the distance and drawing her in my sketch book for a while, that is.
~Flash back~
Walking down the hallway carrying books a teacher asked is, really stressful. Especially when they're 20 dictionaries with all the words in the world. Being the person that I am. Who was sketching. And doesn't want to get the sketch book out again. I put it on top of the dictionaries. Still walking. And walking still again. Not seeing where I'm going. As I say it's my fault. I accidentally walk into a girl. A really pretty girl. Pink hair, with these cute antenna like straws of hair sticking up from her head. And this long luscious ribbon. Streaming down her beautiful soft hair.
She falls to the floor with a thud, dropping some books. As for me, I drop the dictionaries. Luckily. They miss her. Seeing as they're really heavy. But luck runs out sooner or later. My sketch book falls to the floor and opens up. Please! Please skip to an empty page! I repeat over and over in my head. Yes! Missing a page with a drawing it goes to a blank page. But yet... Karma bites me in the ass. Just the wind blowing the page back, it goes to a portrait of her smiling. Her eyes closed. Very happy like. Her mouth open with a big grin. Her hair looking so beautiful and sparkling.
She looks down at the drawing calmly. My heart is pounding. Then my throat starts pulsing like my heart moved up. She looks up and smiles. Picking it up and holding it to her chest.
"Wow! That is really cute!"
D-Did she just talk to me?...
"You're a great artist. She looks like me. Though I shouldn't say it, seeing as I don't look that great" She then giggles.
"...D-Don't be silly. You look beautiful." I stands up picking up the dictionaries, "And that is you, you were right" I smile.
"..Heh!?~" She looks up surprised and blushing. "B-But why would you draw me? I-I'm not a great model at all..." She looks down sadly.
"I wouldn't have drawn you if I didn't think you were a good role model, or if you weren’t stunningly gorgeous" I look down at her smiling.
She picks up the dictionaries while looking through my book. I think in total. Are 500 pages. 56 pages are pictures I drew from mind, and 197 pictures are her in mind and sketches from far away and 247 pages left.
We then reach the class room and we set the dictionaries down on a table, walking out I forgot she still had my sketch book. She stops me leaving by grabbing my sleeve gently. Handing me over the book smiling and blushing heavily.
"I'm really flattered you drew me, I thank you very much. I've never felt this flattered and happy before" She smiles greatly; I've never seen her smile like this in my life.
I take my book looking down into her eyes. They're. So shiny.
"So, I've seen you watching me a lot" She tells me with a bit of shyness and bitterness mixed.
"...Well... I... I have to say I'm in... Lo...--" I slowly stop. Chocking on my own words.
"Well, you want to go out on a date with me?" She asks looking up at me with a sweet smile.
I take a deep sniff, smelling her perfume ...Lavender...
"S-Sure..." All the words I could take out.
"I'll meet you outside your house a 7:00PM OK?" She asks tilting her head, shaking her hips side to side gently.
"That's fine. I'll see you then" I smile.
She nods, and hugs me. My heart starts pounding. Feeling like it was going to rip out my chest. I smell her; she smells so much like lavenders. I love those flowers. Did she wear this for me? Did she know I like lavenders?
She legs go with her hands behind her back, lifting herself up with her feet, going on her toes, and going back to flat feet. She then turns round and waves back.
"See you then!" She shouts out happily running down the hallway.
Hearing her run down, with her footsteps fading. I think I'm ready to shout with joy now.
~Present~
Just waiting outside. In the background. The sun is still up, the sky is orange. Hearing footsteps getting closer, the sound of the shoe stepping and kicking small stones dancing along their steps of a beat. She jumps onto me with her arms around my neck relaxing on my shoulder.
“Hello there!” She shouts with joys.
“Hey. How are you doing?” I ask her smiling, looking into her eyes.
“I’m doing great thank you, how about yourself?” She asks looking up at the sunset wrapping my left arm with her arms, gently pushing it into her breast.
“I’m doing just great, thank you very much for asking” I gently blush smiling.
...Is this what love is like? Is love this special? It feels great.
I look down at her blue cyan dress, looking like rubber, but is a soft sort of material.
We reach the firework display, gathering around with everyone else, looking up, watching the fireworks getting ready. I watch her, as she looks the other way, not noticing, I hear her scream.
Seeing her on the floor holding her ankle. I drop down holding her shoulder looking down at her ankle.
“Are you OK? What happened?” I asked stuttering, scared for my life.
“I-I’m alright... My ankle just gave up, I think I sprained it...” She stutters in pain.
She grabs onto my shoulder and stands up and falls back. I catch her in time, and I pick her up, with my hand holding her shoulder, and my other hand holding her legs up. I start to blush and so does she. We then look away.
We hear a bang. Lights flashing on peoples shin and they gaze up at the sky laughing with joy. Little kids running around stopping to look up now and then. We look up and we smile, we then look at each other. She’s wearing lip stick. Her lips look so soft... I’m not sure... Though I think I know what she wants to do... My first time doing this... In my whole life...
We lean into each other, closing our eyes gently getting closer and closer. Our lips touch. My heart is slowing down the pace now. Getting less nervous. Hearing a sweet popping sound in the background. In my head I hear people cheering. Not knowing if it’s reality or not. I hear the sweet pop of fireworks seeing my eye lids getting lighter, and then fading into a black again.
I smell her lavender perfume. I guess she does know I love the smell of it. Also smelling the gentle smoke of fireworks blowing at us. Wind rushing through our hair slightly.
We then open our eyes and pull our lips apart slowly. Looking down at her, I smile blushing heavily. She blushes more than me at this point. She buries her head in my chest holding my top gently, closing her eyes in happiness.
“...I love you” She says gently.
Walking her home, really easy after a date. Technically. Not walking. More like carrying.
She drops off at the gate, and she holds the side of it. Looking up at me smiling sweetly.
“I had a great time. I’d love to hang out with you soon. I’ll talk to you tomorrow, right?” She smiles seeing me nod.
She closes her eyes and lays a peck on my cheek, and she struggles inside waving back at me, and then closes the door.
I hold the cheek she kissed. I blush lightly looking at her door day dreaming, and then walk on home.
Being bored at home... Right after a date sucks... I get off my bed, and I walk over to my desk, hearing footsteps of my feet against the wood, hearing the squeak of my chair too. I sit down sketching a quick picture of her. I pick up the sketch book looking at it smiling. The sketched picture of me and her later on tonight. Smiling with her holding my arm gently. So, this is what love is like, right? Right??
I've been drawing this for a few days. And I have to say, I love the result! The way they blush I love, and the way I highlighted the hair and fur I adore.
In the background are fireworks, and little lights fluttering upwards, like in some anime :p.
So what do you think of it? :D, Yes, I suck at drawing furries.
