Mister
and I sometimes brain storm on art show ideas. This would be one of his, I believe!
There's some kind of old English legend with dragons drinking milk and turning into cats or something along those lines. I couldn't find anything relevant through google, so if anyone has any info on this I would be very interested! It's otherwise just an adorable drawing, since the bf was also murky on the details.
Watercolors and a teensy bit of acrylic.

I've never heard that myth before. But if you find out any more, I'd love to hear the details. In the meantime, this is an utterly adorable little picture. I've always enjoyed seeing dragons portrayed as something other than ravening monsters, and this one looks like a real sweetie. I really like her design, too.
I read the legend once. It said there was a dragon who terrorized a village. They asked the wise man what to do. They couldn't kill the dragon, but they could wall up its cave and trap it inside.
This they did. The wise man fed the dragon saucers of milk and nothing else. The dragon didn't starve, but he did get smaller and smaller until he was small enough to come out through the small opening there was left. And when he did, he was a cat. The first cat.
All cats are just little dragons, you see. :)
