Warm wings – Sunny day
Contrary to his mate, Breise prefers to shelter from the rain and be dry and safe in the nest. During rainy days, the blue dragon becomes a little ball, resting peacefully between the straw and feathers of the nest, sharing warmth with his partner from time to time. As long as Kayrcarom is also dry, of course.
But sometimes it happens that it rains for days and days, in a torrent of water that threatens to turn the ground into an ocean. Full days where nothing but the crackle of rain is heard everywhere. On those days Breise rests most of the time, sometimes playing with his partner to entertain the moment and only going out when hunger prompts him to go for a bite of fish in the lake.
And although spending days in the nest with his couple is beautiful and relaxing, there is not enough space in the cave for the blue dragon to spread his gigantic wings and that, added to the fact that the rain creates a humid environment, after a few days without maintenance makes your wings feel sticky and wet. Which is definitely not pleasant for Breise.
But obviously it cannot rain forever and always after such torrential days come sunny days. And the first thing Breise does when the sun peeks through the clouds is to step out and stretch his wings for a well-deserved sunbath.

Slowly the blue dragon opens its wings, which have become somewhat stiff after having them contracted for so long. He feels the renewing heat of the sun's rays against the membrane of his wings and the sapphire scales of his body. It is a very pleasant heat that relaxes you. Slowly he spreads his wings wider, like a fan that has been folded too long and suddenly has enough space to open again.
Around him some swallows appear, which have also come out of their shelters to stretch their wings and sunbath themselves too. They soon use the huge dragon as a hanger, as his wings reach a good height and swallows love to observe from high areas. Plus, Breise and the barn swallows have a close friendship.
Facing the sun, Breise's scales gleam like sapphire gemstones and his white chest glows like the foam left by the waves on the beach. Absolutely splendid.
In a short time, his wings are dry and smooth, ceasing to be unpleasant when moved. But the pleasant sensation of having the sun's warmth against his wings makes him linger a couple more hours, rejuvenating his energies, making his mind relax and flow into gentle thoughts. Meanwhile the swallows congregate around him, socializing and flying fleetingly, capturing the insects that may come to disturb their great host.
It brings good benefits to have swallows as allies, they not only extend your eyes and senses, but also to hunt any vile plague that comes to disturb.
After being well dry and warm, the blue dragon can start the day flying comfortably…and maybe go for a bite or two with his partner at the lake.

I also wanted to draw my partner since a few weeks ago we celebrated our 10th anniversary together. An anniversary that we would like to celebrate many more times, together and fluffed up in our nest.
