Surprise gift art for vavacung (DeviantArt) - I have been a secret admirer since forever :D (because I didn't have a dA until recently)
I am a huge fan of their work, and they inspire me a lot!
When they decided to stop making this comic, I was so devastated... The dynamics between Braver and the dragon was weird (in the best way) and new. It was a bit weird, too - which caused the discouragement - but in the deleted scenes, it was explained so well! I looove the idea of needing to dominate a dragon to earn their love. It's almost like demisexuality, haha - also, why would a dragon, an entirely different species than humans, have the same way of receiving and showing love? Why shall all fantasy species follow our custom?
So... I imagined an alternative ending of the comics. Braver defeated their enemy, and won their love. The dragon actually loves the display, but tries their best to keep it a secret. (Had to improvised with their colors, but I think it matches well with Braver's palette)
Braver did get a few cuts, but mostly because they wanted to show off a bit. Thanks to their healing potions, it's nothing serious, just some scratches - they will completely disappear in a few days.
(tfw you are finished with the linework... then the program crashes, and you didn't save. Had to redo almost everything. I got an autosaver right after the incident, and I recommend it, it saves lives! :D)
