Theoretically a Fields of Valhalla thing but i love this man and i am keeping him forever and ever

Glodthrudnir's name is kind of vaguely referenced from the Vafthrudnismal's titular character Vafþrúðnir, whose name means something along the lines of "Mighty Weaver". I liked the naming schema, but Glod turns into an osprey lmao. So i wanted to represent that; gjóður is the icelandic word for osprey since I didn't know if I could like look up an old norse word that would mean osprey so it was easier to do that. Then it turned out I couldn't use characters like ð in his name even though the group is based heavily around an interpretation of the norse mythos, so rather than naming him gjóðþrúðnir I had to go with Glodthrudnir, which is like... kinda it but not really.
Whatever lol.

Like the jotunn I referenced the name from, Thrud is good at riddles and strong in magic. Thrud is also like... kind of an asshole. Extremely lawful neutral but like lawful to a code he never tells anyone about and no one understands but him. He barely speaks and if he speaks it's to cause Problems on Purpose, he's nice to his friends but has few of those, and he cheats to get ahead if he's interacting with anyone who he doesn't count as part of "his" group.

He's been cursed many times; the spikes are to make him as prickly and dangerous on the outside as inside, and he just went "cool. that vibes" and kept it. Most other curses he gets rid of after a little while because they're a pain in the ass, but that one he just made slightly less annoying to live with. He can turn into a snake because he messed up a spell he was going to do to someone else and just went "eh whatever"; he can turn into a bird on purpose. He spends most of his time wandering around with Katjaana, my weird deer, who sees absolutely nothing strange about the glowing eyes or the spikes or the four-inch talons and will be very confused if someone else is like "kat what the hell"

Thrud gets he/himmed everywhere because FoV doesn't really have a nonbinary option as far as i can tell but if there's a gender in there it's not any gender anyone else has ever seen. He's a weird little man in the same way a strange raccoon who keeps stealing your leftovers out of the garbage is a weird little man, and not in any human way.
