It's a verbal pun on the 1970's movie "Tora, Tora, Tora", which was about the Isoroku Yamamoto and Japanese Army's attack on Pearl Harbor, and how the Americans reacted to the attacks.

And since this as made in the 1980's it might have been more for shits and giggles, as the poster said, no malice meant.

The battle-cry was Tora, Tora, Tora, as usually transliterated to English. Torah is the usual transliteration of the Hebrew Scriptures. A multilingual pun.

Looking back at the drawing, I notice I have the warship a strong resemblance to the USS Arizona. Seemed open season at the time, considering that the number-1 hit of under-16 crowd was probably Starship Yamato.

I've a few Jewish friends, none of whom would be likely to be offensed. They are also within a dozen years of my age, and not as sensitive as under-40s tend to be.
