Something small I did inbetween my two comic projects. Since its my sona and the design is dummy simple, it allows me to kinda play with action stuff. Which I very much like!
Partnership suiting is always a yes, so I can explain personal thoughts for this one. Basic Gist is that suits are used for newer workers with anxiety, who dont want to particularly be seen when working. Slowly acclimating to work culture in a more dorky, but comforting way. They're brought in from a mysterious 3rd party company that doesn't quite have any public press. However they've partnered with small time retailers who are interested in their services. Quantity is limited and these suits are mainly for aid purposes.
These suits bond with their host, but helping them with work day tasks minus all the temperature and movement based drawbacks that come with them. Once a suit gains a fondness for being worn by a particular associate, it'll become purposefully weighted to anyone who isn't their typical host, meaning they need to bring in new ones every few months are so.
Graduation Programs are a thing if you were ever a suited associate, meaning you have the right to bring home your suit after working a specified amount of hours. The Unknwon Company who makes them have listed that this is a natural process within their environment as these suits are NOT to be disposed of once they've gained a fondness for their host. Returning the product to the company is possible, but only if the suit has lost consciousness after lack of host energy. Which can take upwards to weeks or months. Deactivation of energy is seen as a metaphorical death of sorts. As the suit will forget its memories with its previous host if kept unworn for too long.
Due to this, the working world has gained a niche class of workers called "soot troopers" who had gained their suit during their previous employment, and now carry it over into the next.
Since these employee's come with special physical abilities due in part to their relationship, they're likely to get rehired for any small time job.
Really hopeful positive work culture shit. If only.

I love this, it serves a purpose and builds on itself. The fact they end up with the suit in the long run is awesome not just cause free partner suit but when you get something that legitimately helps you it makes the story more interesting. I really hope you do more stuff like this!

Suits when worn in this setting are highly mobile, flexible and light! But they only become that way way when they're attached to someone they like or are fond of.
When they become "purposely weighted" to others that arent *their* host, it means they become heavy on purpose losing those nimble traits.
Think of it as a friend who doesn't want to try unless it's for someone they care about.
They aren't gonna wanna be enticed to do what they usually do, unless the person they like is wearing them. To anyone else it'll be a detriment more a help.
