So I've had this side axe/hewing hatchet/broadhatchet for a while now and it never had a proper sheath and it rattling around in the shed door for a while now.

This is what I made for it and I apologize for the poor quality image. My proper camera is dead and this is all I've got.

Getting leather wet allows it to become much more pliable and you can burnish it to take on the form of the object it holds, granting a nice fit.
