A spell is made by the mind - a highly focused act of will. At the Mink's present level of skill, there is no "auto-triggering" option.

Maybe not a spell per say but something like a focus or object she could bind a spell to that would trigger automatically if say her cognizance dropped below a specified lvl. Hell Green Lantern had something like that on his ring. It was an auto response and it would trigger no matter what his ability to act even if he was knocked out. So I would think The Mink would have something like that on her somewhere. :)

Max is a brilliant on his own. But even a super-genius, like him, has to put up some real effort at least against decades, even centuries of experience and skills passed down the generations directed by dozens even hundred of individual minds working toward one or a set of goals. It is an army that does not sleep, will set into motion a million plans in a minute, and does not quit ...ever... until it has succeeded or is called off.
