I've seen more and less structure on ultralight aircraft... but they are not capable of the speeds this thing is... if you make a mistake... oh well!

"Now this is Pod Crashing!" oh I've seen one light aircraft at the local airport - pilot and passenger sit on seats bolted to an open metal framework. high mounted wing with pusher engine. Watched them do early morning and late afternoon flights in it - best times for calm air.

Oh have you seen the videos by a company called Gravity? They make jet suits - some interesting footage on youtube of UK Royal Marines doing test boarding actions with the use of the suits. Paramedics have been testing them out in the UK - for use in rough country - get to an accident victim in a hurry, stabilize them till a chopper crew can get to them.
