It's been a long time since I've drawn any dinos. I'm glad that I got the chance to draw Kessrapteryx for the Paleo Exchange.

When I think of a dancing dino, I think of the mating dances of birds, due to the ancestral connection. So I used reference pictures of cranes. So here's Kess showing off his fine plumage as he leaps into action.

I had a hard time fitting this onto my scanner, so the shadow that I drew with real media had to be replaced by a digitally created one. I'm not skilled with using digital color/media. :P
