Oh how I miss home! I'm from near the Maryland/WV border, in southern PA ;)
I mean no offense by this, but West Virginia isn't really southern. If it ain't got Magnolia trees and mudbugs it ain't the south. :P
West Virginia is more mid western, or northeastern. Definitely the north.
I digress, it's a wonderful picture. Very beautiful colors, and drawing real life borders is no easy task! (Unless it's Colorado, Utah, New Mexico or Wyoming. Bunch of squares out west. Aw haw! Puns.) Good job with the pose/state shape thing to.
FYI, I LOVE sweet tea.
