Kitol had a pretty rough time in his backstory. His hive was strong-armed into providing a unit of soldiers to fight in the ultrahive wars, who were prompty shipped off to fight in Rockteeth pass. Rockteeth pass was a mining city located in a mountain pass, which became hotly contested as a geographical chokepoint, to either allow or deny troop movement in either direction. With other resources unavailable to break the stalemate, it quickly became an infantry meatgrinder of a battle.
Here Kitol is having a particularly bad day, and unfortunately for him it is unlikely to be the last.
