Something I made back in January 2019.
Someday I might make another one I just gotta drum up the effort and remember how I simplified the process for animating all of those stars individually. Maybe I still have the old project file somewhere.

Cute! If you want to get rid of banding (the regions of distinct color that seem break up your sky gradient), you can grab a blue noise here: momentsingraphics.de/Media/BlueNoise/FreeBlueNoiseTextures.zip and then apply it as an overlay or add/subtract function set to like 3-15% on the base image before saving it as a gif (which reduces the color space down to 256 colors). This creates some dithering which tricks the eye into seeing gradients out of discreet colors. It's not a perfect representation of what is done in games (where blue noise is set to about +/- half an rgb level and then added), but it should still do the trick with only a little brightening or darkening and stuff.
Also, FA definitely shows animated gifs, it might need to be smaller or maybe you need to re-upload it through the side edit upload buttons afterwards, but I have several animated gifs in my gallery and they all work great. I mean... just look at my avatar... It's teasing you; It's animated... and it's a gif!

Oh hey it works now. Kinda forgot about the whole FA scales down images until you re-upload them thing.
If I remake or make another one of these I might try to get rid of the banding in the sky but at the same time I kinda like it idk. The program I use to make this has noise filters in it so I wonder if it would help, it might also have a tool for Dithering but I'm not sure.
